I've been reading a book for a couple of wks. called West to a Land of Plenty The Diary of Tersea angelio Viscardi. I think the book is really good, it's so far abot a 14 year old girl and her family moving from NY to the land of oppurtuanity. She's with her mother, her Uncle Eugenio, poppa, her nana, and her baby brother. They were on a very stuffy uncomfortable train for a very long time.They eventually left from Jersey City @ night. The train again stopped and she wrote a letter in her diary to Francesa. Her mother was not all happy about leaving NY and neither was she but it was what was best for the family. It was uncle Eugenio and her poppa who convinced the family to leave. They were still on the train and she was listening on to her poppa's and mommas conersation. He said that there might not be a store soon because business was not doing so well. That's about all I read.
