Monica's Entry

I been reading A time for Courage at my schools liabrary. So far its about a girl who lived in the year of 1917 in Washington, D.C. faced with adventure of her lifetime when wars are taking place. It was hard reading it at first because I honestly did not like history as much but this book had a big impact about life back then. So far I getting half way there to the ending of the book. A young girl named Kathleen, Kat for short who is about the same age as me (13 years old) recievd a diary around Christmas time from her mother. She goes to Miss Pruitt's Academy for young ladies. Some of her relatives are in the Women's Party who want to demand for human suffrage, which is the right for women to vote. War was starting in Europe and everyone is worrying that the Great War would enter America. The president around that time was Wilson. The Women's Party is against the Americans entering the war. They also named a lot of food :D which i think was the best part of the story. well they named a lot but one that i thought was weird well unusual was a lime rickey which is a lime juice and fizzy water with sweet syrup kinda like a sherly temple. Thats about it. Sorry if it was boring or something.
