Whitney's entry

Hey, Im whitney, im reading the Dear America series, its called "A Line in the Sand". Its kinda boring in the begining. In the begining they are talking about this girl and her family. They live on a very shaggy area. They people are reallyy poor. supplies only come twice a year for them. It includes things such as barrels of molasses, flour, sugar, dried apples, pots, pans, churns, irons, whiskey, tobacco, coffee, beans, and other things. The girl in the story's name is Lucinda Lawrence she has coarse red hair, she loves flowers. She has a little brother names Green. The setting takes place during a war. The people there aren't like us today. They all had to work for their own living. Even girls and boys our age and younger. The woke up early morning and milked the cows, gathered eggs, and then cooked their own breakfast.
Texian settlements are forming militias to protect the colonists from Mexican soldiers. When people were sick back the they really didnt have any medicine to treat it . Thats basically what im reading about for now.
