Camille's 2nd Entry

I haven't finished my Dear America book about a young girl during the Revolutionary War, but it's pretty interesting so far. It's showed me that today, we have it easy. Life back then was hard. I'm starting to be more optimistic because being negative wouldn't do anything good. I'm starting to see how good our lives are. The lives of soldiers during the war, and even the civilians' lives, were tough and demanding. They didn't have many of the necessities we have. Overall, I thought the book taught an important lesson of understanding where we started as a nation, and a lesson of humbleness. People do crazy things for power while the greatest people in our nation started out as small as we are now. I'm sad I didn't finish my book, but the lessons I will always keep with me.
