Daves first post

So as we go along in the book we find out the the revolutionary war obviously was a hard time for many Americans. This book takes place in hte late 1700s in Boston, Massachusetts. My reaction so far would be like anyone elses " wow times were different". In the book we read about William Thomas Emerson. Who is a boy growing up in pretty tough times as we find out. Serious and unfair laws are being passed against all kinds of things. Things like treason, and rebellion. As you should know had pretty much no rights at this time. So the people who fought against these laws were called rebels. Now if i was at this point in time i would probably rebel too. But as we all know it is eaier said than done. People were very very poor. Every alleyway was a fight for food. We think we live in hard times try going in back 300 years. No lights no TV no heat or anything of that sort. If you ask my opinoin i would say those people are 100 times stronger than we are. Take the great depression at times that by about 100. Now Willaim is a normal kid its just that he is going through a tough period in time with no parents. Yah try going through that with no guidence. Do we all wish sometimes we didnt have any parents? Of course but, even if we are not willing to say it we all need are parents sometimes.
